Best known for its healthy heart benefits, it also has amazing antibiotic and antifungal properties, mainly due to the Allicin it contains. To get the highest level of Allicin from your garlic, make sure you use the raw garlic in your cooking straight after crushing, grating or chopping the garlic clove; A long delay in using the raw garlic after preparing it will only make the Allicin degrade and you won’t get maximum benefits from this super-food, so make sure you use it quickly.
